Mission Statement

The Dean of Students Office (DSO) at Lafayette College is dedicated to enhancing the holistic student experience through care, advocacy, education, development, and support. Guided by student-centered values, we provide comprehensive services, resources, policies, and programs that foster personal and academic growth.

In collaboration with the broader Division of Student Life, DSO engages the whole student in a process of self-discovery within an intentional, residential learning environment. Our team of student life educators applies nationally recognized best practices to cultivate a culture of care and wellness, promote inclusion and belonging, and empower students to become responsible, engaged global citizens. We are committed to creating an inclusive campus environment that recognizes and affirms the diverse identities, experiences, and potential of every student.
